Here is an early fire extinguisher that has it's original metal cap and metal bracket fro mounting. This vintage, honey amber colored tube style extinguisher measures 11 inches tall. It has a unqiue shape with 12 long panels on the center section and plain panels near the top & base.
The base has a 'diamond-i' emblem, denoting it was made by illinois glass company, pre 1929. It has it's original metal, crimped cap, with an attached bracket that looks like it would have attached to the wall. There is no name embossed on this example, probably had a paper label for fire stop or a similiar brand. This one is in excellent condition. The glass is excellent with some nice color. The metal cap adn bracket are somewhat rusted, still has much of the original black paint. If you collect vintage fire related memorabilia, fire extinguishers, fire grenades or firefighting items, you will like this example.Insurance is $1.65 for up ot $50.00, more depending on final sale price.
